Confidence for frontline staff - WSET Level 1 Foundation

The Foundation Certificate is designed to be an entry level qualification providing an introduction to wine for people in the hospitality industry. It is ideal for boosting the confidence of new or inexperienced front-line staff.

The course provides basic product knowledge and the skills required for the service of wine.

Students will be introduced to:

· The main styles of wine
· The WSET® tasting technique
· Characteristics of the main grape varieties used to make wine
· The service of wine
· Health, safety and legal issues
· Food and wine matching

The qualification can be achieved in 1 day or 3 evenings.
