In 2008 The Classic Grape Varieties series returns.  This clear and simple introduction to the sometimes confusing and intimidating subject of wine is achieved through a series of tastings that focus on the individual grape varieties that comprise the classic wines of the world.

The generic characteristics of each grape variety are discussed and the influences of environment, grape-growing, wine-making and maturation on the wines produced are illustrated through the tasting of vintage samples.

Each tasting will culminate in a two course dinner, selected to complement the grape variety.
